I find it amazing when people applaud those who learned or were helped by books and movies, but disregard video games as means of teaching. You can learn with a game as much as you can with a book or a movie. Games can be just as emotional or touching. Games are a media, just as they are. There’s nothing wrong with getting attached to a video game, just as there’s nothing wrong with getting attached to a movie. You can grow up with Disney and Matrix, or J. K Rowling and Tolkien the same way you can grow up with Zelda, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy or whatever.

Games can be much more than just toys, if only people would look at them the same they do with movies and books.
